About Davis Tate Goring-on-Thames

We have taken the decision in these uncertain times to close our offices to visitors in order to protect our staff that are not yet working remotely from home and you, our customers.

Rest assured, that apart from this measure, it is very much “business as usual”. We have put in place measures to be able to safely showcase properties for sale and rent and carry out valuations. We will also still be managing properties for our landlords and tenants. Please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or by email. We are still here to help.

Davis Tate Goring Estate Agents was our first Davis Tate branch to be opened in 1991, and was originally that of a local butcher. We have since expanded the branch to include the old HSBC bank next door – the bank vault still remains today as a feature of the office!

The Davis Tate Goring branch serves the highly desirable riverside commuter villages of Goring & Streatley, sitting on opposite sides of the river, then further into postcodes of RG8, RG20 and OX11. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and offers many amenities as a residential, tourist and recreational centre with a thriving local community including the Goring Gap Festival. In addition to the attractive riverside scenery, Goring-on-Thames is convenient for many places of interest including Oxford and the Cotswolds, and London is less than an hour away by train.

The area is a desirable location for families looking to move away from the hustle and bustle of London to the sought-after Manor Road and other prestigious local addresses, and is served well by both Goring Primary School and Streatley Primary school. Students then progress to senior schools Langtree School in Woodcote and The Downs School in Compton.

The branch is headed by Local Director James Elliott, who also oversees the Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford and Wantage branches. Born in Goring, he is now a local resident and has been selling properties for over 20 years. James has a long-standing team in support who are also unquestionably ‘local market experts’.
