Davis Tate was founded in 1991 with an office in Goring on Thames. Today the company is part of the LSLi group, and has 13 High Street offices covering a network throughout Berkshire and Oxfordshire. With over 80 staff working at Davis Tate, our combined experience and local knowledge means you are in good hands.

Matthew Bates Managing Director

Matthew began his estate agency career in 1994 for an independent letting agent where he spent 12 years making a name for himself within the industry. Joining Davis Tate in 2006 he progressed his career and all round knowledge by working in both sales and lettings. From Lettings Manager to Branch Manager, he then went on and held senior management positions of Lettings Director and Sales Director. Now in his 3rd year as Managing Director, Matthew believes in the customer journey, staff well being and a culture of doing what we do, to the best of our abilities. A local lad, he was educated at Maiden Erlegh school and grew up around Earley. He remains local and now lives in Three Mile Cross near the M4.

James Elliott Local Director

Local Director


James Elliott is the Local Director overseeing the Goring-on-Thames, Wallingford, Wantage, Didcot and Abingdon offices. Having been born in Goring, he is now a local resident and has been selling properties for over 18 years. James is heavily involved in the local community, with numerous sponsorships and fund raising activities. He’s a highly effective agent, specialising in land and new homes – aiding local developers, winning and keeping a strong market share and working effectively with his team who support him.
 

Daniel Guningham Local Director

Daniel is Local Director for Davis Tate overseeing Reading, Henley, Sonning Common and Twyford Offices. Having been with the company since 2007, Daniel has worked up through the company starting as a negotiator then progressing onto Lettings Manager, then Office Manager for the Reading office, before taking on his role as Local Director. Daniel has experience in both Sales and Lettings and having lived locally for over 30 years, has extensive knowledge of the local area. Work ethic and providing excellent service levels are high priorities for him.

Ben has lived locally for over 30 years and has been selling property in Berkshire for over 12 years. He is Local Director for the company and oversees our Shinfield Office, as well as Financial services for the whole company and New Homes in our Southern region. Ben has always had a passion for property and enjoys helping people make what he believes to be one of life's biggest steps.

Richard Sutton Local Director

Richard has been selling property in the Thames Valley and Chilterns for nearly 40 years (17 with Davis Tate). He is Local Director overseeing Pangbourne and Conveyancing for the company.  His experience includes all types of residential market and changing market conditions.  His professionalism and commitment have ensured his success in all aspects of the business and he is proud to head up a leading team independently reviewed as the best in the area.

Claire started her career agency in South Oxfordshire in 1998, working in both Sales and Lettings, progressing to Lettings Director and Sales Director. Claire works within the office network supporting the Lettings managers and their teams. She is passionate about delivering an exceptional service to clients in all property matters, utilising our joined up agency network and teams to do so.

Bruce Vickery Operations Director

Bruce brings vast lettings management experience, having worked in property management in excess of 16 years. He’s responsible for the overall property management, accounts and admin teams ensuring procedures are initiated and high levels of service maintained.

Georgina is a Joint Lettings Director covering our network of offices. She has over 18 years estate agency expertise. Backed by her ARLA qualifications and understanding of the relevant legislation, Landlords & Tenants can be assured of effective managing client/agent relationships.
