Google announce UK property search

16 June 2010

Search engine giants Google have announced the launch of their own property search, allowing customers the ability to locate listed housing in their desired area.

Using the Google Maps technology users will be able to ‘enter’ a city or town and see available property, which is represented by small circles on the map. Users can then refine their search by price, the type of property and also the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. By clicking on the marker customers will be able to find the information about the house and also the contact details of the estate agent involved with the property.

Estate agents across the country are busy uploading their properties to the Google property search, as they look to market their brands across the widest possible online audience.

Andrew Foster, product manager of Google, commented: “It’s a simple and free way for property companies to make their listings even more discoverable, and have them seen on an easy-to-navigate map.”
